  4. 1. FreeWare ROOMS
  5. =================
  6.  
  7. ROOMS [The Software] is protected by International 
  8. Copyright Law.
  9.  
  10. The ROOMS Copyright Owner [The Company] licences 
  11. you to use the FreeWare Edition of The Software 
  12. without time limit as a decorative enhancement 
  13. to a single personal computer.
  14.  
  15. This licence agreement [The FreeWare Agreement]
  16. entitles you to run The Software provided that 
  17. (i) you do not break any democratically obtained 
  18. National Laws that apply to you, and (ii) you do
  19. not infringe any third party Copyright.
  20.  
  21. In accepting The FreeWare Agreement you indicate
  22. that you understand what The Software is for and 
  23. you indicate that you have sufficient know how
  24. to enjoy The Software "As Is".
  25.  
  26. The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to make backup
  27. copies of The Software.
  28.  
  29. The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to make copies
  30. of, modify and distribute any sounds or images 
  31. which are part of a ROOMS world supplied by The 
  32. Company. You may not charge a fee for unmodified 
  33. material and you must not attribute creative 
  34. authorship to The Company for modified material.
  35.  
  36. The FreeWare Agreement does not entitle you to 
  37. create or distribute new ROOMS worlds.
  38.  
  39. The FreeWare Agreement is cancelled if you 
  40. reverse engineer The Software.
  41.  
  42. While The Company believes that The Software is 
  43. of good quality The Software is published 
  44. "As Is". The Company is not liable for the 
  45. consequences of installing or attempting to 
  46. install The Software.
  47.  
  48. The Software is intended to provide decorative 
  49. effect.  The Company is not liable if you use 
  50. The Software for something else or if The 
  51. Software is incompatible with software from 
  52. another supplier.
  53.  
  54. The Company is not liable if you use the software
  55. to create desktop features which are injurious 
  56. to health.
  57.  
  58. The Company hereby draws your attention to the
  59. need for good health practices when working 
  60. with computers.
  61.  
  62. In particular:
  63.  - Moving or blinking images may cause discomfort,
  64.      stress and even epileptic seizures
  65.  - Poor posture may cause discomfort, eye strain, 
  66.      stress and repetitive strain injuries
  67.  - Slow computer response times (from complex 
  68.      desktops or low performance computers) may
  69.      cause stress, discomfort and repetitive strain
  70.      injuries
  71.  - Poor lighting may cause discomfort, eye strain, 
  72.      stress and repetitive strain injuries
  73.  
  74. If using the software makes you in any sense unwell,
  75. feel dizzy or sick or you have any indication of 
  76. an adverse reaction you must stop using the software.
  77.  
  78. The Software MUST NOT BE USED FOR any safety 
  79. critical tasks and MUST NOT BE USED IN any safety
  80. critical environments.

  82. The FreeWare Agreement entitles you to a 14 day
  83. free trial of ROOMS Creator functionality, but 
  84. does not entitle you to distribute any worlds 
  85. which you create during the trial period.

  87. 2. ROOMS World Viewer
  88. =====================
  89.  
  90. On payment of the ROOMS World Viewer licence fee 
  91. The Company licences you, in addition to the 
  92. standard FreeWare licence, to use ROOMS to load 
  93. and run selected ROOMS worlds which are designated
  94. for ROOMS World Viewer use, without time limit
  95. and as decorative enhancements to a single 
  96. personal computer

  98. Payment of the licence fee indicates that you
  99. accept The World Viewer Agreement.
  100.  
  101. The FreeWare Edition of The Software helps you
  102. establish if the World Viewer licence is 
  103. suitable for your requirements before purchase.
  104.  
  105. Your attention is drawn to the limits on 
  106. liability and need for good health and safety
  107. practices stated in The FreeWare Agreement.

  109. 3. ROOMS Creator
  110. ================

  112. On payment of the ROOMS Creator licence fee
  113. The Company licences you, in addition to the 
  114. standard FreeWare licence, to create and 
  115. distribute ROOMS worlds as decorative 
  116. enhancements which are usable by other ROOMS
  117. Creator users. The ROOMS Creator licence is 
  118. without time limit and for a single personal 
  119. computer.

  121. Payment of the licence fee indicates that 
  122. you accept The ROOMS Creator Agreement.
  123.  
  124. The FreeWare Edition of The Software helps you
  125. establish if the ROOMS Creator licence is 
  126. suitable for your requirements before purchase.

  128. Your attention is drawn to the limits on 
  129. liability and need for good health and safety
  130. practices stated in The FreeWare Agreement.

  132. If you have both a ROOMS World Viewer licence
  133. and a ROOMS Creator licence then you are 
  134. entitled additionally to create and distribute
  135. worlds which can be run by ROOMS World Viewer
  136. licensees.

  138. 4. 1-Above-3D Screensaver
  139. =========================
  140.  
  141. 1-Above-3D [The Screensaver] is protected by 
  142. International Copyright Law.
  143.  
  144. 1-Above-3D is an add-on for ROOMS. ROOMS licences
  145. apply to the 1-Above-3D software.
  146.  
  147. In addition to ROOMS licencing, and on payment 
  148. of The Screensaver licence fee you are entitled
  149. to run The Screensaver, without time limit as a 
  150. decorative enhancement to a single personal computer.
  151.  
  152. Your attention is drawn to the limits on liability
  153. and need for good health and safety practices 
  154. stated in The FreeWare Agreement.
  155.  
  156. There is a 14 day free trial of The Screensaver 
  157. to help you establish if The Screensaver licence
  158. is suitable for your requirements before purchase.

  160. 5. ROOMS PayWare
  161. ================
  162.  
  163. Earlier versions of ROOMS recognised "ROOMS PayWare
  164. Licences". The PayWare licence is equivalent to 
  165. a ROOMS World Viewer licence combined with a ROOMS
  166. Creator licence.
